• uPVC Multi-Cartridge Filter Housing

 Overview & Specifications

uPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) multi-cartridge filter housings are corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and cost-effective filtration solutions ideal for chemical, water, and wastewater treatment processes. These housings are designed to hold multiple filter cartridges (typically 10″, 20″, 30″, or 40″ lengths), providing high flow capacity and efficient particle removal.

Key Features:

Feature

Description

Material

uPVC (Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride) – corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, and suitable for a wide pH range (acidic to alkaline fluids).

Configuration

Accommodates multiple filter cartridges (commonly 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, or more), depending on design and flow requirement.

Cartridge Size Compatibility

10″, 20″, 30″, or 40″ standard DOE (Double Open End) or SOE (Single Open End) filter cartridges.

Flow Capacity

Typically ranges from 5 to 100+ m³/h, based on the number and length of cartridges.

Pressure Rating

Generally up to 6–10 bar (90–145 psi), depending on model and pipe diameter.

Temperature Range

Max. up to 50–60°C due to uPVC’s thermal limitations.

Inlet/Outlet Size

Commonly ranges from 1.5” to 4”, with flanged or threaded connections.

Seal Options

EPDM, Viton, or Buna-N O-rings for chemical compatibility.

Mounting

Vertical, floor-mounted design with support legs or skid frame (optional).

Applications:

  • RO plant pre-filtration
  • DM water systems
  • Cooling water circuits
  • Chemical processing
  • Municipal water treatment
  • Electroplating and metal finishing

Advantages:

  • Corrosion-resistant – suitable for aggressive water and chemicals
  • Economical – lower cost than stainless steel housings
  • Lightweight – easy to install and maintain
  • Scalable – multiple cartridges increase flow and filtration area
  • Non-metallic – suitable for non-conductive fluid systems

Limitations:

  • ⚠️ Not suitable for hot water (>60°C)
  • ⚠️ Limited mechanical strength vs. metal housings
  • ⚠️ May deform under high pressure if not reinforced
